Freedom Fund Banquet

Thank you for your continued support of the NAACP. It is through your efforts and participation that we are able to continue the civil rights work that is so important to our democratic way of life. The road has been long with many winding curves, with hard work and the dedication of freedom fighters, like you, we continue to breakdown the barriers of racial discrimination. Whether it is religion, race, or culture, mans humanity to man continues to be a global threat.
We must move beyond our personal needs and work harder for a united and effective organization. We must not allow history to even repeat itself. We must never take our history for granted nor our ability to bring about positive changes. Together, we can make things happen, but we must unite and stand together.
Remember our soldiers who passed during the year, as well as the one's still stationed in harms way. We owe them a debt of gratitude.
To our young people, you are beginning the most important journey of your life. Travel the road with pride, diligence, and perseverance. You can achieve what ever you dream as long as you are willing to work for it. Remember, a positive attitude, constant motivation, and kindness will take you a long way in this society. Good Luck to you all and God bless you have a positive life.

Finally, the time is now! Do not neglect our right and responsibility to vote. We fought for it, we bled for it, we died for it, and we have it now, let's use it. Remember that one man and one vote can make a difference. Please register to vote.
