Membership is Power! Your membership is invaluable to the continued existence of the Stafford Branch NAACP in educating our children about their heritage, equal opportunities, voter registration, and outreach programs. As our membership grows so does our opportunity to make a difference. Get To Know Stafford Branch NAACP The objectives of this Branch are in accordance with the constitution of the State Conference and the National Association. Stafford Branch NAACP's Local Focus Anyone who supports the mission of the Stafford Branch NAACP irrespective of race, religion, political affiliation, and ideology can become a member of the Association. Unyielding in our purpose, the Stafford Branch NAACP ensures the political, educational, social, and economic equality of minority group citizens through democratic processes. NAACP's Grassroots Network The NAACP Regional Offices are located in California, New York, Michigan, Missouri, Georgia, Texas, and Maryland. Each regional office serves as a mentor to states in that region. They provide guidance with regard to the Association's policy, procedure and civil rights agenda. Every local Unit chartered in a particular state works closely with the State Conference arm of the NAACP. The NAACP units can be found in any of the seven regions, each with a staff of volunteers to address the needs of the community and the membership. Currently, there are approximately 2,200 adult branches and 1,700 youth and college chapters. |
