The Stafford NAACP Youth Council, Education Committee, and Women in the NAACP are hosting a private screening of HIDDEN FIGURES at the AMC Potomac Mills (2700 Potomac Mills Circle, Woodbridge, VA 22192) on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 3:00 pm, doors open at 2:30 pm, please arrive early to be seated before the movie begins. There is a waiting list and if you are not in your seat by 3:15 pm your seat will be forfeited. A 115 seat theatre has been reserved for our members and the community and includes a popcorn and drink. Afterwards, we will discuss various aspects of the movie.

Henson), Dorothy Vaughan (Octavia Spencer) and Mary Jackson (Janelle Monáe)—three brilliant African-American women working at NASA, who served as the brains behind one of the greatest operations in history: the launch of astronaut John Glenn into orbit, a stunning achievement that restored the nation’s confidence, turned around the Space Race, and galvanized the world.
